Isabella runs Reedsy’s weekly writing competition, lovingly known as Prompts to its community of over 750,000 writers. She is also the editor-in-chief of Prompted, Reedsy’s literary magazine that features both established and emerging writers. On the Reedsy blog, her posts cover a range of topics, from self-publishing and book marketing to the literary agent querying process.
As a licensed educator and advocate of racial and cultural diversity, Isabella is dedicated to championing underrepresented voices in both classrooms and the publishing industry. Before pursuing her master’s degree in creative writing at the University of Cambridge, she gained experience as a writing center associate at a liberal arts college, a copy editor at a literary magazine, and an editorial intern at a literary agency. Outside of work, you can find her scouring secondhand bookshops, adding yet another book to her never-ending TBR pile, and trying to keep her plants alive.
